IS IT ME, OR ARE YOUNG WOMEN IN BURKINIS REALLY HOT?

BURKINI. You got to love the name. The naming of things in life is very important. It reflects how we understand what's and what's changed. I get the BURK part, but I'm not sure where the INI is. Regardless, they still look hot to me. The regular bikinis have shrunk so much that you wonder if what's still covered is even worth seeing. Sometimes it's more exciting to imagine more than you can see. ...Sometimes. But I can see why the full burkas cover the eyes because just they alone can be very telling. What about the voice then? Well, I've been fouled too many times by that one. Chances are the voice doesn't match what you are thinking. Given that I have a high voice and have been called ma'am too many times on the phone, I can only wonder what the person on the other end is imaging. ......Please don't tell me it's that!

But why is France so upset with this swimwear? I'm pretty sure it's not threatening their fashion industry. I certainly hope it's not their response to the tragic attacks by Islamic extremists. Likely it's more along the line of pressure from the sunscreen lobby. I'm not sure if the old adage of "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" really applies unless you think your culture just happens to be the best. As for women's liberation, someone has said that it is just as wrong to force a woman out of a burkini as it is to force her into one. That probably applies to other garments as well. For now, a high court has suspended the ban. Common sense may yet prevail.

Those who propose the burkini in the USA forget our own evolution of women's swimwear and other fashions that were popular and then regulated when they began to change. Some probably want to go back to the days that women were completely covered so much so that they were in danger of drowning.

Historically and religiously men have had a lot to say about what a woman should wear. They like to tell women what's right about other things as well. Examples abound. This fear of the female body can only stem from men's sin sick hearts and the lack of control over their own sexuality. ...Or not. I'm not committed either way on that one.

I have to believe that burkinis are a product of the progressive part of Islam that sees the need to change without giving up your basic beliefs. This gives some hope that those who still hold to barbaric    practices like child marriage, honor killings, female mutilation and other brutal customs that are done in the name of God will be exposed even more and brought to justice until such is eliminated. Granted that Islam is not the only religion in which you can find brutal adherents.

Beachfront property here on the Plains of Colorado is hard to come by. Even though I love dearly them, I haven't been to any ocean in many years now. I like that they are always moving and especially when a storm is forming up. There's a fascination with water in all the different ways it's found in nature, but the ocean has a particular draw. I can't imagine there has to be a particular dress code to fully enjoy it. If they want one, I agree with covering up fat men in speedos as some have been calling for, but I suggest they would better start with this first, whatever it is.

Fun in the sun should be more than a display of America's appreciation for the culinary arts. I'd like to think that everyone's day at the beach is memorable in the best way possible.

It's going to take a while for the world to completely embrace the idea that if someone isn't hurting themselves, isn't being hurt, or isn't hurting someone else, they should be left alone. This applies far more to war than it does burkinis.
